The Baseball Trip 2018

Day 18   Thursday, July 19 2019

We are now on our way to Herrington, Kansas, home of Randy's sister, Karen. Last time we were here, Karen cooked us BBQ chicken and served ice cream and peaches for dessert. Oh my God, that was delicious.

Random observation from Randy: My sister won't be there; my niece is having surgery. She says we can stay there anyway. That's not the point; the point is that she would cook for us.

We saw nothing on the way. Except this:

A semi carrying wind turbine blades trying to navigate intersection turns.

Oh yeah, we stopped at the Boot Hill Casino and Resort in Dodge City on the way to Herrington:

I won 200 dollars. Randy won big again. Damn him!

Ancient tractors on display: 14   Yes, 14...one guy had a dozen on display in front of his house!

Favorite sign: The Diner
The Print Shop (Both in Larned, Kansas)

Random observation from Randy: It's a very minimalist town.

Favorite town names: Assaria, Kansas
                                    Elmo, Kansas

Next: O'Fallon, Missouri
