The Baseball Trip 2018

Day 11   Thursday, July 12, 2018

San Diego to LA is not a bad jaunt; it didn't take us long to get there. So we stopped at Los Alamitos Racecourse for a little horse racing action. Remember that $100.00 I won in Reno? Well now it's gone.
Lost $103.00 at Los Alamitos racecourse in Cyprus, just south of LA, and I blame this horse:

The horse with the orange flap failed me. All he had to do was come in second...he finished third.

More shots from Los Alamitos:

The tote board on the infield.

Front gate.

After that, we sped up to The Big A, Angel Stadium in Anaheim, to see the Angels play the Seattle Mariners. (I lied: You cannot speed anywhere in this town.) The Angels won on the strength of 4 home runs - two by Albert Pujols, one each from Upton and Fletcher. The Angels won 11-2. Some photos from The Big A:

Rock pile in center field. Twin flames shoot out of the rocks whenever anyone hits a home run. I hope you can see that in the next photo:

Favorite signs: Two Saucy Broads Pizza
                         Traditional Breakfast - New!

Again, we count nothing. Especially mowers. There are no lawns in LA.

Random observation from Randy: The whole state is creepy. I heard all the businessmen's clubs in Bakersfield are really just sex clubs. That's what I heard, anyways.

Next: We stay in LA for the Dodgers. Is this sweet or what?
