THE BASEBALL TRIP 2016

Day 9 - Tuesday, July 19.

We are heading home, but we take a slight turn north into Michigan. Let's hit one more casino before we hit home.

Well, all right. We pull into the Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan. I was up about $250.00, and I remembered I was down about $100.00 from my two previous attempts at the racetracks and casino in Harrisburg, PA. So I told myself, "Walk out up $100.00. I don't care what you do, but walk up even for the trip."

And I did.

So there.

Absolutely nothing exciting happened on the way home from Battle Creek, so I'm throwing in some random photos from Randy's Iphone.

"The Real Battle of Philadelphia." This kid was not interested in the game at Citizens Bank . He had two aliens trying to wishbone a human for consumption.

Headline in local paper: sign of the times? Headline for everyone?

Country Skillet - great breakfast.

"This is a real diner."

I must say, Randy has had his fill of decent grits on this trip.

So, what do we have here?

9 days
2500 miles.
$57.00 in tolls. (Bridges, tunnels, turnpikes.)
8 states.
7 ballparks. (5 minor league, 2 majors)
2 racetracks
2 casinos
1 wacky convention

I have seen Wolverine before, but not Antman. So I am satisfied.

It is, according to Randy, a world ready to explode - and I am frightened.

Favorite town name: Cement City

Random observation from Randy: I picked a CD at random. REM. I cannot handle REM right now. So, no.
